Hello everyone and welcome to my first blog entry! I figured I should go ahead and start updating y'all (all 2 of my followers- thank you so much for following, by the way!) about my life. I do have super exciting news: I got a job! I have been working in retail almost non-stop during undergrad and took a break during grad school for my internships, but then had to jump back in to the world of sales after my master's program because an art history degree is not the easiest to market to job recruiters, lol. After about 6 months of job searching, I finally was hired for a job as a librarian! I am so excited to help others find joy in reading and to plan programs for patrons- it is going to be so much fun. I start training on Monday and cannot wait to go in, especially because the library I work for is only 5 minutes from my house. (Finally, an easy commute.) I've started looking for fun librarian stuff to buy on Etsy and there is a suprising overlap between Taylor Swift and librarian merch. It's definitely not my cup of tea, but I've found some cute stuff like this pin of a cat shelving books, as well as a Very Hungry Caterpillar pin.

I'm currently reading (though I forgot my book at home...) Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism by Amanda Montell. I've always been interested in cults and what goes on in them, so reading about how cult leaders can use and manipulate language to convince their followers of their legitimacy is very interesting! Music-wise, I've been on a Loona kick (not surprising if you know me) lately- I listen to my boycott-friendly playlist and throw it on shuffle.

I don't have many other updates besides the job one, but I'll keep you updated on how it goes!
